Lid rest Trivet
This lid rest was created with the motif of a trivet, a tea ceremony utensil. Its shape is a perfect match for a tea kettle or iron kettle. It was made using the wax casting method to reproduce the shape of the tabs, which are characteristic of a trivet.
After boiling water, it can be difficult to know where to put the lid to dry the kettle. If you turn the lid upside down and place it on a flat surface, it may roll off and break the handle. If you have a lid rest, you don't have to worry about that. *See the third photo.
